How Hurricanes Become Famous

In a recent article located at www.weatherchannel.com, I ran across a interesting article about hurricanes and how they got their names. I found this article interesting because up until I read it I never knew that they had a list of names for potential hurricanes coming that specific year.

Also, in the link provided check out all of the names they had for 2006 and how they retire the names of hurricanes that have done massive damage. I find that it is really funny they don't discriminate based on nationality....they had Rafael as a name along with Florence ( I know personally like 6 Florences.) I just think that is so interesting.

The names are listed in alphabetical order as well...something that you wouldn't notice unless you pay close attention to it. Wouldn't it be weird if they had a hurricane named Danielle and it exemplified all the same characteristics as me. For example, I seem quiet lurking into the country and then BOOM, BAM, POW....I blow your house down. LOL!!!!

Remember when you were a kid and your mom would rather you go out and plow the snow instead of play in it? Well get this.....With the dawn of a new era and technology dropping faster than the snow fall, a resident of Pennsylvania has the solution to all of our plowing devastations.
With the temperature dropping as well, it isn't hard to believe that people are being smart and staying inside to keep warm this winter. Upstate NY buried under 6 feet of snow

Since Sunday, small towns Parish and Mexico in upstate New York, have recorded more than 6 feet of snow and expected more today. Schools were closed ( Hooray for the students) for the fourth day, and more squalls of snow are expected around the weekend.

Get this, USA Today reported that snowplow drivers didn't start clearing out the snow until Wednesday. The women were already seeing snow eye to eye. Also, the big concern was not of getting the kids back in school or taking care of the 19 deaths that took place because of bad weather but for keeping the cities 800 fire hydrants clear.

"We're just trying to keep on top of digging out the hydrants," said Fire Chief Ed Geers.

To me that would have definitely meant massaging my facial muscles while crunching down on a bag of my favorite potato chips.
